It all started on August 7th, 2017 at 8:30 am when I went in for my weekly fetal monitoring and blood pressure check up. Babies and I we're looking great, but suddenly my blood pressure was high 175/80 and uncontrolled which was a sign of preeclampsia. Even though I had no other symptoms my doctor didn't want to take any further risks and immediately admitted me to labor and delivery to be induced.
Tony and I we're not prepared for what was about to take place. I was a nervous wreak. Emotions went flying everywhere. Thank goodness my mom was at our house taking care of Mesias at the time before she received a call from Tony that I was in labor and having the babies today.
At 1pm Tony, Mesias and my mom arrived at the hospital just in time to see my doctors team walk in to get me prepared for an emergency c-section due to my blood pressure not being stable. The only cure for preeclampsia with elevated blood pressure was to deliver the babies as soon as possible. At the time I was super overwhelmed and scared, because I had a bunch of Nurses going in and out of the room including my Doctors checking up on me like every 20 minutes.
Moments later both babies arrived with no complications and I have a successful surgery. I felt like everything sort of went by smooth and stress free and my blood pressure immediately came down to where it made my Doctor was very happy. Without further ado please help me welcome our two little blessings.
