THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments on our big news!!! I loved reading them, and they all made me smile. Several sweet bloggers I follow are also pregnant, and many of them are due in September as well but with twins you never know, so I’ve been bursting at the seams to say something! I’m not planning on turning this into a pregnancy blog per say, but it is obviously going to be a heavy topic for the next nine months, mainly for my own sake. Hopefully you’ll enjoy following along on this crazy ride!!
Weeks 5-10 Notes
- I've been pretty neutral when it comes to eating salty foods and sweets. I don't crave sweets at all.
-Sweet foods and chocolate are NOT my jam.
-Still haven’t bought anything yet, too early. Is that bad? That’s normal right?
-Was so tired after attending my first 5K/2-Mile Walk.
-I first thought it was a girl, in all my dreams it’s a girl, but since I am not having any morning sickness, my cravings are somewhat neutral I do not know what to think anymore. Tony is rooting for a girl currently.
-I've been very moody lately. I mean more moody then I was with Mesias. Could it be the hormones of a girl?
-We’ve got two names picked out, one for a boy and one for a girl.
-I want cooked vegetables, avocados, eggs, chili, salads, and chicken.
-Loving strawberry smoothies, almonds, fruits smoothies, and peanut butter. The only sweets right now.
-I do get nausea when I am in the car at times. It never leads to vomit.
-Towards end of week 6, beginning of week 7, I noticed I was having to get up in the middle of the night to pee. And so it begins!
- I have been feeling very uncomfortable and bloated lately. Every time I eat a meal I can't finish it. I get full very easily which is new to me.
-No fatigue. I work out regular 3 times a week.
-The girls have definitely gotten bigger…praise! I guess since I nursed for 2 1/2 years I am assuming my milk supply will start soon.
-Had mentoring class during (Week 7) and was not able to sit in a chair for 4 hours straight.
-Still anxiously awaiting hearing/seeing the heartbeat and making sure everything is ok, I feel like I am in limbo!
-I still go to bed every night praying earnestly and strongly that baby is healthy and growing strong. I’ve never in my life felt such a feeling of anxiousness and worry. I know everything is in God’s hands and His perfect timing.
-8 weeks was our first baby appointment! FINALLY was able to see and hear not one heartbeat beat but two. Tony and I we're in total shock after my midwife said we were having twins.
-Super excited and can't wait to tell our families we are PREGNANT! But...won't until mid-March.
-Last night we (9 1/2 weeks) had grilled cheese and tomato soup and that tomato soup definitely did not agree with me. Ick. It took all I had just to barely dip my sandwich in the soup, and usually my grilled cheese is practically swimming in it. I went to bed right at 9 for the second night in a row because I just felt awful and so tired.
Morning sickness?
Thankfully so far, no. My first pregnancy I did not have any morning sickness at all. I know many women experience nausea throughout their first trimester, but I have been proceeding as normal!
What are you craving?
After finding out I was actually pregnant, I was craving a lot of protein. Almonds, eggs, peanut butter, jelly, and veggie tray every day-my body wanted protein! This wasn't the case when I was pregnant with my first baby. I wanted all sweets. Which is weird according to the gender myths. But it's way too early to be looking into all of that.
Do you feel tired? So far I get super tired in the evening but I am very active during the day. Can't sit for no more than 45 minutes (talk about future doctor appointments). My husband and I usually watch our shows or a movie before we go to bed and I can't make it through 20 minutes without falling asleep. I think I have been averaging close to 10 hours a night! What the heck?! Yep. Mesias was an angel when he was an infant getting his 8 hours of sleep. But now it can all change with having another baby. Maybe I should start getting in the mind frame of 10 hours being a luxury.
Well there you have it. Weeks 5-10 updates has successfully passed.
