The babies are definitely growing. Most of my friends are wondering when I will began to show and they consistently remind me of how small my stomach is at this point but I beg to differ. I feel like I am showing much faster this time especially having not just one baby inside of me but TWO. It’s hard to tell in this dress, but I have a little pooch. PS: 15 dollar dress from Target + sports bras are my new go-to. Try it and thank me later. It’s like getting away with wearing pajamas in public.
What’s are the babies up to? According to BabyCenter, the baby “is now about the length of an kumquat. They have now completed the most critical portion of there development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in there bodies rapidly grow and mature.
Weeks: 10-15 Notes
Total Weight Gain: I’m up 4 pounds up, so far! I gained 40 pounds (yes, forty) the first go-round, so I’m trying to remember it does go away eventually. No stressing.
Fitness: Besides getting bigger every day, I’m starting to feel like I’m getting back to normal. I’m hoping that I just hit the second trimester bliss a little early! I think I’ll be able to resume my normal workouts pretty soon. I had been running and taking barre classes, but I’ve skipped the past two or so weeks. I miss it!
Symptoms: Up until this week, it’s primarily been tiredness but not as bad as it used to be early on. I am starting to gain more energy and I also started monitoring my protein intake and it’s gotten a lot better! Shout out to my husband for forcing me to work on that. Apparently, I turn into a cranky weirdo without it.
Sleep: I get up 2-3 times a night, which is crazy to me. I don’t remember it being this ridiculous last time. I have been chugging water lately, so I guess it’s my own doing.
Cravings: Every single morning I eat an egg, and oatmeal. Other than that, I’ve been digging BLT sandwiches with honey mustard and all of the potato chips. The only sad thing is that I’m struggling to drink regular old hot tea. The smell. Oh, gosh, the smell. I've been craving Thai food more lately.
Maternity Clothes: I’m totally already wearing maternity dresses, and yoga pants for weeks now. They are just so much more comfortable. I haven't shown any interest in jeans due to the fact that not all of them have elastic waistbands. Let’s be honest, all jeans should have elastic waistbands. I think I’ll start a petition.
Baby Items Bought/Received: Nothing! The game plan is to reuse as much as possible from last time. The only issue is that there are two instead of one and on top of that it could be a girls, boys or both. If they are girls or even a boy and a girl I will probably go nuts and buy every single thing in sight.
Goals: My current goal is to not complain about the sun/heat while walking around or traveling. I always bring my umbrella and for some reason I tan around my toes. Dole Whip will help ease the sting, right? I’m only half kidding.
Worries: Not too much right now, which is probably because I’m always preoccupied with something else. They are not lying when they say that the second pregnancy is different! I don’t have oodles of time to sit around thinking about my belly. I'm in BEAST MODE!
Best Moment: Mesias definitely understands that I am pregnant. The other day, we were running around and I told him I needed to sit down because I didn’t feel good. He asked, “Oh, is baby a and baby b okay? You need water.” While he was a little confused on who was sick, I was glad he was slightly concerned. Maybe he won’t try to wrestle the baby at birth after all! One can only hope.
Well there you have it. Weeks 10-15 updates has successfully passed.
