As you can see in the picture, the chalkboard contact paper up against the wall came out pretty good. :) So, as you can see our first month was...not that busy and just for the record, Mesias wanted to sit down for this photo. I mean I totally get it. Think about it, he has many more months to stand nicely for mommy so that daddy can see how tall he gets each month. (Lol)
We did pretty good this first month. After hearing many stories from more experienced spouses who have done this more then 5 times...the most common thing that is always said is that its always hard adjusting to being a single mom, but now that my little buddy is officially a toddler he requires energy packed activities and I am exhausted!!!
This month we did not have company visit, which was totally fine. Mesias stays busy with soccer practice and play dates most of the time. He also enjoys music class and crafts.
It was hard being alone the first couple of days when Tony departed. Tony and I have only spent only 3 weeks away form each other out of 4 years of being together. Tony and I have so many family traditions that I wasn't aware of, until finally I started doing them all without him.
Mesias has been AMAZING! He is taking this WAY better than I thought. I think it really helps that we get to Facetime with Tony every now and then.
Dear, Mr. Facetime and all other video technologies - You are AWESOME.
At the age of only 2, Mesias knows his daddy is gone, and obviously I have some "acting out" going on, but that’s completely normal for a toddler. He is not able to actually express to me fully on how he truly feels about daddy being gone, but I do know that talking about it, with looking at pictures and some of his favorite videos that daddy recorded before he left. They make him happy and it has really helped.
With my bubbly personality and relocating to a new city and state, I've managed to have a good amount of associates, that I can text or sometimes hang out with, but there is nothing like having AWESOME friends, you know the ones that feed you, make sure your busy, offer to watch Mesias for me, and constantly ask how I am doing.. well I am still working on getting to know new people. I sure can tell you that it sure does take time. In the meantime that is what my CLOSE family is for, and they mean the world to me. I love you guys, you know who you are!! :)
Near or far, you all are thee best support system a girl could have.
One month closer to homecoming....yay! :)
